Wow, this is amazing. So after my last post here I got some ideas about things to search for. I found this -- The Order of Salvation in John Wesley’s Theology. This is amazing. That's basically what I believe. I could totally be Methodist, I just really love the liturgy and worship style of the Episcopalians/Episcopals.

Thanks for your help.

There are Methodists around who take liturgy and worship very seriously--even full-on smells-and-bells Methodists.

Check out the Order of St. Luke

Yes. There are (non-celibate) Methodist Monks and Nuns... I'm one.

Right -- I did a lot of church hoping before (and after) I was baptized (I was raised an Orthodox Jew) and the thing that attracted me to Episcopalians is that for the most part, the worship style is pretty similar across the board. That was what I was familiar with in Judaism, so I suppose it's all in what you get used to.

With groups like Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans (esp. ELCA) I noticed that it tends to vary some depending on where you are (for example, NYC ELCA's are very high church) or what church you're in, who your pastor is, and such.

I'm just amazed at how similar Wesley is to other Anglican theologians I've read.

I think, but not sure.. that liturgy is more frequent in Wesleyan Church rather than the United Methodist Church, for example. From my understanding, they're both essentially Methodists they've just historically had differences of opinion on some things.

Hopefully somebody can confirm or deny this..
